This transformation involved the implementation of an event streaming platform built on Kafka and Kubernetes (K8S), complemented by a substantial upgrade of our Elastic search infrastructure from version 5.x to 8.x, all orchestrated within K8S. These enhancements not only addressed immediate challenges but also facilitated the development of innovative platforms such as Search as a Service and Kafka clusters, benefitting multiple teams within the company. These advancements have unlocked access to cutting-edge machine learning capabilities, notably Vector Search.
