In this session, you will learn how Ritikesh and his team at FreshWorks use multiple layers of caching and web optimisation techniques to enable faster page loads and a rich and delightful experience for their end users. Delve into their legacy SSR-based experiences, followed by their rich new UI for the core ticketing module within Freshservice (and the hybrid SPA architecture) and the techniques used underneath to power those experiences.

The talk will cover topics ranging from leveraging HTTP headers like accept-language / if-none-match, context & locale aware API caching on the backend, leveraging service workers for efficient browser caching, E-Tags based versioning on the browser and leveraging custom HTTP headers magic to maintain sync across all sessions and users of a specific tenant. And most importantly, how they stitched everything together to bring one complete caching framework in place, which could be seamlessly extended to other parts of the application.
