AI Demystified: Unveiling the Intelligence Behind the Machine

About the Session

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a ubiquitous term, appearing in everything from news headlines to science fiction movies. AI isn't about creating robots that will take over the world (although that's a popular trope in fiction). Instead, it's about developing computer systems that can mimic human cognitive functions like learning and problem-solving. At its core, AI is achieved through a variety of techniques, with machine learning being a prominent one. Machine learning algorithms allow computers to learn from data, enabling them to improve their performance on a specific task without explicit programming.

But what exactly is AI, and how does it work? This session peels back the layers of this complex field, making it easier to understand the intelligence behind the machine.

As we all know there are two types of AI

  • Narrow AI (Weak AI): This is the most prevalent form of AI today. Narrow AI excels at performing specific tasks with high levels of accuracy, like facial recognition software or recommendation algorithms on streaming services.
  • General AI (Strong AI): This is the realm of science fiction, where machines possess human-level intelligence and can learn and adapt across various domains. General AI remains largely theoretical, although advancements are constantly being made.

In this session we learn about how does narrow AI achieve its remarkable capabilities:

Key takeaways

  • Live demo to provide a practical experience for developers to adapt AI in their product offerings.
  • Simplify the jargons in AI and ML
  • Understand the basic concepts and science behind the Artificial Intelligence
  • How AI and machine learning is intervened with each other
  • Fundamentals of Language models, GPT, Transformers and Embeddings
  • Methods and tools for choosing the right AI Capability
  • AI Learning path recommendations
