Parul Ghosh is Head of Engineering, Consumer Technology (CT), India, and has been a prolific inventor, with 7 granted patents to her name, in addition to 10 pending patent applications. Her patents are on the application of use cases across the banking domain, such as Lending, Resiliency, Frauds, Risk and Data in Review. At Wells Fargo, Parul and her group (CT Engineering Enablement) are responsible for creating futuristic solutions to solve CT and Wells Fargo problem in the space of Invariants, Cloud Enablement, and Developer eXperience.
Parul is the first Tesla Awardee (2020) from Technology India & Philippines, and the first Woman Inventor from I&P to be featured in the top 10 Woman inventors at Wells Fargo list. She has won the ‘The Techiest’ award at WITfluence 2023, a conference for women technologists from across India. She also has been a speaker at external forums and represented Wells Fargo at industry forums for women technologists.
She is also passionate about giving back to society and has been instrumental in setting up the ‘Nirmaan Coding Initiative’ in collaboration with the CSR team at Wells Fargo I&P. This program aims to create passion for STEM disciplines, and coding in particular, among girls from financially challenged backgrounds. The initiative now teaches coding to 8,000 girls’ students, both online and via tie-ups with schools in India.
