About the Session

Legacy modernisation has many flavours to it. Amazon popularised the 6Rs model(Repurchase, Re-host, Re-platform, Re-factor and Retire, Retain) as a framework to make decisions on what the right strategy for a given organisation should be. Although, when it comes to hard numbers, 74% of organisations fail to complete their modernisation owing to a variety of factors. In this talk, Vanya and Christian share their pragmatic learnings of re-platforming a big enterprise organically —  right from aligning the organisation design to the technical architecture principles they leveraged to making it a reality and a successful one at that.
